I've got an interesting way in which you can improve the FPS and loading speed.
It's not a BIG difference, but every little helps
Firstly, we will change the font. The default CF font is 13mb! We will replace it with a 7kb font which is about 1/14000th of the original font's size!
Go to your CrossFire fonts folder, mine is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Z8Games\CrossFire\rez\Fonts
Rename :
default.ttf
TO :
default.bak.ttf
Download This :
Click Here
Paste it into your fonts folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Z8Games\CrossFire\rez\Fonts
Now start CrossFire and play!
